Tourist Park
Cedar Falls, Iowa
By Jay Alexandres
Tourist Park in Cedar Falls is an 18-hole course. This park is the 3rd oldest course in the world and was established in 1978 when the city won the baskets in a raffle. Tourist was the course that both Jay and Des Reading picked up the game at when they were in college at UNI.
Since it is such a old course, it is very short. With the longest hole being 280 feet long. Tourist park is a great course for new players just learning the game, or pros wanting to work on their short game. With 4 holes shorter than 150 feet, it gives you a good chance at having a few ace runs.
Roofwalkers Bring First-Class Indie-Rock to Disc Golf Webisodes
October 11, 2010
As we prepare to launch our first Webisode later this month, we wanted to promote some of the bands that have been kind enough to let us use their music as a backdrop for this experiment.
The Roofwalkers are an indie band out of Washington DC that create very composed pop music that brings in sounds of surf, ambience & grunge but does all of it very carefully and controlled.
To learn more about the Roofwalkers (who have multiple records available now), check out this in depth interview from The Dumbing of America, ‘Fall In Love With: Roofwalkers’
