Announcing AceRunners.com!

June 25, 2010

AceRunners Disc Golf Site Announcment

Greetings Disc Golfers,

We would like to welcome you to our new site, AceRunners.com. It has taken 3 long years to get us to this point but it feels great to finally have our goals become a reality.

Speaking of goals, here are some of the things we would like to accomplish with our website:

Objective Disc Golf News & Reviews

We really want to do our best to cater to everyone from beginners to pros and to provide the type of content that is part of everyday Disc Golf conversations. To do this we are going to focus less on big tournament and player coverage and more on reviews of new Disc Golf products, unique events & stories surrounding the Disc Golf culture and also, we really want to publish stories from our visitors and have a lot of user-generated content. This will become clear very soon with our Course of the Month feature that will focus on the very best courses from around the world, submitted by you.

Provide the Best Tools for Your Short and Long-Term Needs

We want to provide you with easy ways to find new courses, track stats & to learn how you can improve your performance. Also, as advocates for the growth of Disc Golf we want to make sure we have content you can show your friends who aren’t familiar with the game. For example, our HD tutorials are very beginner focused (with more advanced advice to come in the future). But we haven’t left out the hard-core Disc Golf crowd in our planning, either. Our Leaderboard (launching later this summer) is a great way to keep track of your stats and compare yourself to the rest of our community – think of it as an xbox live type of interface that will showcase the Ten best scores and highest rated players on multiple categories or just as a great way to keep up with your own progress.

The Course Directory, Powered by DGCourseReview

We found the best possible partner for the course directory in DGCourseReview and couldn't be more pleased because this is the best tool around.

The Course Directory is powered by DGCouresReview.com. This is the best and most powerful tool on the web for finding where to play your next round of Disc Golf and we are lucky to have them as a partner. The tool is very intuitive and allows for a variety of advanced searches or just click anywhere on the map to have all of the nearby courses populate right away.

High Definition Disc Golf Videos

One of our biggest goals is to continue to build our online library of videos. We strive to bring HD videos that combine professional quality with easy-to-follow instructions and excellent background music. What you see now is only the beginning – we plan to keep making more Tutorials and will start getting into more advanced topics and coming up in October of this year we will publish our first Webisode. The Webisodes will feature highlights of the AceRunners.com cast traveling to different courses and doing our best to show how much fun the sport can be.

We look forward to sharing our new site with the Disc Golf community and we will do our best to make this one of the best resources available to all who share the love of the sport.

Sincerely,

The AceRunners.com Team
